MMOmega is a massively multiplayer online web game that immerses players in a dynamic and persistent world, inviting them to embark on a journey filled with epic adventures filled with magic, wonders, and dangers.

Players can engage in various activities, ranging from resource gathering and monster combat to crafting items and building structures, offering them the opportunity to forge alliances and build their reputation. In the ever-evolving universe of MMOmega, a horizontal progression system provides challenges suitable for both experienced players and newcomers.

The game is structured around global campaigns, each requiring the confrontation with a formidable opponent. These campaigns include phases of investigation, preparation, and combat that will have a major impact and lasting consequences on the game’s persistent world. However, these adventures will not be without obstacles. In addition to facing environmental challenges, players from different factions will need to compete against each other to ensure their domination.

While we haven’t fully defined the model yet, we already know that MMOmega will be a Free-to-Play game. While we need to consider supporting the game financially, we have no interest in pay-to-win mechanisms. Ideas concerning the economy will first be discussed with the community to ensure fairness.

We chose to develop MMOmega as a web game to capture the nostalgic appeal of classic browser games from the late 1990s which both Iguane and Elixor (co-founders) really enjoyed back in the day.

This approach allows easy access across different devices without downloads, simplifying entry for players. It also offers the convenience of automatic updates and leverages modern web technologies for a rich, interactive experience.

Overall, creating MMOmega as a web game combines nostalgic charm with modern accessibility.

While we are at an early stage of the project, we do not have a fixed date in mind yet. What we know is that we want to bring different phases to work together toward the launch of the game. Currently we are performing technical tests with the community on Discord and Twitch, this will be followed by multiple Alpha tests, then Beta tests, and then a release when the game is ready.
